    It is with deep sadness that I tell you that Sister Rochelle Crasnick, a long time Wang Usher has passed away.  Below is the write up from the Spencer Funeral Service: CRASNICK, Rochelle Ann of Boston and formerly of Brookline, age 63, passed away June 29th, 2015. She was born in Lynn, grew up in Dorchester and was the daughter of the late Philip Crasnick and Shirley Crasnick.

    July 6, 2015 -- Despite enjoying record profits last year of $1.1 billion, Southwest Airlines refuses to have meaningful negotiations with its Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Related union, the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), prompting the union to request federal mediation from the National Mediation Board (NMB). Southwest Airlines and AMFA-represented Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Ground Support Technicians, Plant Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Controllers, and Technical Instructors have been in negotiations for close to three years.

    NLRB Strikes Major Blow to USPS-Staples Deal

    In a major blow to the Postal Service’s deal with Staples, Region 5 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has issued a complaint charging that the USPS illegally subcontracted work to the office-supply chain and ordering the agency to return the work that existed on July 31, 2014, to the APWU bargaining unit. A hearing is scheduled before an NLRB Administrative Law Judge on Aug. 17.
